Evaluator Laura Tammen (curator)

I am an art historian with experience in the art business for 15 years now. As a student, I started working in a commercial art gallery in Cologne, Germany, and later I became Associate Director of an art gallery in Barcelona, Spain, from where I got introduced in the international art world, attending art fairs all over the globe. In 2015 I decided to leave the art business and began to work as a freelance curator, organizing exhibitions with mainly young artists at independent art spaces. Further, I started to build up an exhibition platform in Barcelona. But still, I have experienced corruption, manipulation, nepotism and machismo. I love art, but I am careful and critical with all its surrounding contexts, too.
