During the last years I have been evolving practices that mobilize objects rejected by the modern urban environment. In bulky industrial objects (chairs, doors, building planks etc) I put gestural interventions; I reuse and convert them, abolishing their initial function so as to create new conceptual relationships. Used objects, their age and wear carry for me a special poetic. My aim is to reveal the fragile balance between memory and garbage, history and contemporary urban culture, tracing lost narrations in these used materials. Keeping away from practices that raise the personal experience into an axiom, I search for the common in the individual, the public in the private, seeking to reconstitute something that could approach to collective memory as far as possible.
