Discovering innovative artistic positions without falling victim to ephemeral trends is the intention of Galerie Anita Beckers.

The gallery was founded in 1990 in Darmstadt and is now based in Frankfurt, Germany, where it represents internationally acknowledged artists – with a strong (but not exclusive) focus on video and media art.

One of the main objectives of Galerie Anita Beckers is to form a mental and a physical space for artists who set out to explore and interpret the world around them in an innovative, independent and individual fashion.

The gallerys videospace is a permanent installation allowing for a constant perception and discussion of contemporary video and media art.

Bjørn Melhus, Ingrid Mwangi and Yves Netzhammer were among the first video artists showcased at the gallery.
