The Democratic Pavilion represents a protest again the monopolization and centralization of power and the need of real democratic political and economic systems in our society for the fair distribution of the money and power.

The Democratic Pavilion is a project proposal for the curatorial and organizational team of the Venice Biennale 2019, including for all countrie’s Pavilions participants of this event.Read more..

The intention of this project is to take the attention of the curatorial team (of the Venice Biennale 2019) and being selected, providing a space for this project in one of the Pavilions of the Venice Biennale 2019, in case that this event not occurs, a team will be organized by the ODBK to rent an space in Venice and show this exhibition during the time that the Venice Biennale 2019 will last.

TO BECOME PART OF THE SELECTION PROCESS FOR THE DEMOCRATIC PAVILION
The institution (curators, art theoretical, gallery owners, critics, etc.), art lovers and artists are invited to become part of the evaluation and selection process of the artists included in the Democratic Pavilion.

Process to become part of selection process:
1) Register at the ODBK Website Click here to go to the registration page
2) Evaluate at least five artists of the “Pure taste” indicator list. Click here to go to the list
3) Wait for the call to evaluate a specific artist work

SELECTION PROCESS


The selection of the artists for the Democratic Pavilion will be executed by the Art Market Regulation Commission (AMARC). 15 persons will evaluate every artist proposal (5 of each group: institution, artists and art lovers ). Every participant will evaluate four variables of the work of an artist with a number between 1 and 100 and the average of all numbers will be the position of the artist in the list. The 15 top artists will be the ones who will take part in the Democratic Pavilion.
