Dear All, I had my first contact with art since I was very young. Having grown up in a family of architects and designers, I navigated through different disciplines such as mosaics, graphite, pottery and others, until finding my passion for painting. My first artworks, at the age of 10, used to bring graphite, pyrogravure and oil painting, in a classic style. In 2011 I started my first contemporary design. In 2013, motivated by the birth of my son and the idea of living in a better world, I incorporated recycled elements and social themes in my creations. An in-depth work and the concept of Pro-Life Contemporary Art, which I define as Sustainable Art in its full meaning, came out. My definition of a sustainable world goes far beyond ecology and respect for nature. It primarily includes the respect for everything human. I believe there is no ecologically balanced world if it’s not also humanly balanced. Currently I live in Switzerland, where I produce my artworks and expose them around the world (Florence, Geneva, Lausanne, Basel, Vaduz, Triesen, Berlin, Porto, Cascais, Vienna, Barcelona, Miami, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paris, and others). I'm also president of the Fine Arts Department of the Lyceum Club International of Geneva, the earliest cultural association of Switzerland created by women in Geneva in 1912. Besides that, I'm engaged in many cultural projects, such as « L’Aquarelle Durable » and « Circuit Cafe-Culture ». The former aims to disseminate the idea of getting to a well-balanced world by promoting art among children, while the latter aims to connect different cultural cafés around the world. I'm looking forward to take part of this exhibition. Best Regards, Leca Araujo.
