Evaluator Magdalena Fernandez (curator)

I am an Art Historian (The American University of Rome, Italy). I have worked for 2 years as Curator and Head of Education at Fundación Pablo Atchugarry, a non profit art foundation and 35 hectare sculpture park in Punta del Este, Uruguay. There I organized everything, from the day to day tasks to Curating shows, organizing the Educational Program (of over 2000 students), but also the events in the summer at the open air amphitheater (around 5.000 spectators per event). I also did 2 internships (2009 and 2011) at James Fuentes LLC art gallery in New York city. I have also worked as an independent curator and as an art teacher for children and teenagers in the past years and now I run my own arts organization called CDA lab, where I team up with other artists for specific projects and I also do Textile and Fashion Design. I was also part of an arts collective called Proyecto CasaMario, and we would run our own arts center in a house that is near the port of Montevideo. I am still part of the collective at a distance.
