I was born in Guangxi, China in 1985 and currently live and work in Beijing, China. My works across video, installation, photography and painting. I have participated in numerous domestic and international exhibitions. My art practice can be described as if I were a tomb raider: I excavate the essence of the subcultures, generic imageries, fictional legends and other information which I pull from a universal consciousness. I use this information to connect with a personal and/or socio-political tragedy, which results in poetic and dramatic creations. My concise art approach imbues my artworks with undeniable creativity and imagination that openly invites viewers to face the often-challenging issues found in my artwork. My solo exhibitions include,Diary of a Pioneer, de Sarthe Gallery, Hong Kong, China (2018); Liang Ban and Ye Funa: Self-Created Universe, Klein Sun Gallery, New York, USA (2017); Landscape Browser, de Sarthe Gallery, Beijing, China (2016) ; Slightly Confused, Taikang Space, Beijing, China (2016)and “Game”, A4 Contemporary Arts Center, Chengdu, China (2014) .
