Evaluator Jorgina Stamogianni (artist)

I am a freelance curator based in Berlin. Born in Athens in 1982, I followed a rather intricate academic path through Political Science and Social Anthropology which inevitably led me to Curating Art, Management & Law. Since 2011, I have been actively involved in the field of contemporary art, working at various institutions, including Rebecca Camhi Gallery (Athens), Kunsthalle Athena (Athens), Künstlerhaus Bethanien (Berlin), Kreuzberg Pavillon (Berlin) and documenta 14 (Athens & Kassel) among others. My academic background in Political and Social Sciences has inevitably influenced my curatorial glance. My practice focuses on public space interventions and site-specific projects, while trying to approach the act of curating as an artistic medium itself. Since 2017 I am the founder and artistic director of the experimental curatorial platform In Art We Trust.
