PTI Evaluation – Help
The Pure Taste Indicator (PTI) evaluation is a process to measure the quality of the work of artist. In both types of evaluation mechanisms: “Referendum” and “Demarchy”, the evaluation process is exactly the same, the difference resides in how the evaluators are selected. In a PTI evaluation there are four parameters to evaluate, for each one the maximum qualification is 100 (higher) and minimum is 1 (lower):
- Concept or “Artist Statement”: To qualify this parameter could be observed for example the contemporaneity of the concept or how deep dig into the topic he/she wants to develop, research or express.
- Artwork: For this parameter could be considered the coherence with the concept, aesthetic of the work, materials and use of the materials, mediums, etc.
- Art world transcende: Here is to qualify, how the art work in conjunction with the concept and all the work of the artist is relevant or transcend for the art world, if other artists are being inspired by the work of this artist for example.
- Society transcende: Here is to qualify, how the art work in conjunction with the concept and all the work of the artist is relevant or transcend for our society, if the artist has inspired journalists, activists, politicians, or if has proposed something to improve or change the status quo.
In the first page, before starting the evaluation, there is an introduction of the artist and at the bottom of the page there is a button “Start Evaluation”,click this button to start the evaluation. See Image 1

After clicking the “Start Evaluation” button you will pass through the process of qualifying each one of the parameters: Concept, Artwork, Art world transcende und Society trascende. See images 2, 3, 4 and 5.

At the top of the page of every parameter, you can set up a reference in the form of witch artists you consider higher or lower. This is defined using the option “Evaluator References” that you can find under the “My account” Menu options.
When you have completed the PTI Evaluation a Thank you / Summary page will be shown. Then you can see the questions and answers (cannot be changed) and an option to come back to the PTI Artists List.See image 6.

The influence of your answers in the PTI of the artist you have evaluated can be seen immediately, you can go to the PTI Artists List and search for the artist you have evaluated.
