DIAPOMRAC_11666_1489411221_MRACS2017-Facade-001Located in the heart of the Occitanie / Pyrenees – Mediterranean region, on the shores of the Mediterranean, the Regional Museum of Contemporary Art, located in the city of Sérignan, is a must-see artistic and tourist venue. It presents over 3,200 m², temporary exhibitions and a permanent collection, affirms strong artistic choices, supports both French and international artists and invents new forms of art mediation. The museum, inaugurated in September 2006 and managed by the Region in 2010, is housed in a former wine cellar. The exhibition rooms have large volumes bathed in natural light. In this friendly and bright atmosphere, different spaces offer visitors a rich and diversified itinerary: a graphic arts cabinet, exhibition spaces and a bookstore-boutique which offers a wide choice of exhibition catalogs, books by artists and original editions.
With the constant concern to develop its cultural action with all audiences, the Occitanie / Mediterranean Region – Pyrenees thus affirms its ambitious policy in the field of contemporary creation.
