Since 1986 american contemporary art GALLERY with associated partners in New York and Los Angeles has specialized in American Art of the 20th century with its main focus on the
American Abstract Expressionism
of the “New York School” with Adolph Gottlieb, Robert Goodnough, Hans Hofmann, Jackson Pollack, Richard Rousette-Dart, Jack Tworkov, Lee Krasner and Joan Mitchell.
Regarding Sam Francis, who wasn’t related to “New York School”, but more to the “California School”, the gallery concentrates on his early works from the time period of the 1950s and 1960s.
For more than ten years we have also included in our program the contemporary New York artists Loren Munk and Philip Smith, who are affiliated with “New Image Painting”.
The american contemporary art GALLERY endeavors to present selective works of high quality representing his art movement to the European public. For the years 2002 and 2003 we will continue with one man – and group – exhibitions of the aforementioned artists.
For several years now, american contemporary art GALLERY in co-operation with the estates and foundations of the artists, has the pleasure of helping to organize exhibitions featuring the work of the Abstract Expressionists in leading European Museums.
