ABOUT BENEDICT YU I am a multi-disciplinary artist, working and exploring on the themes of Eastern philosophy, Eastern aesthetics, psychology, anthropology, social & political issues. Having a dual-citizenship between Taiwan and Singapore, I have the privilege of experiencing and exploring both countries' differences in many aspects. During my study at Lasalle College of the Arts, Singapore, I was invited to participate in “Singapore Nightscape 2050” with Lighting Planners Associates, LPA (2015). This project was led by Kaoru Mende, CEO of LPA, to design a future lighting for Singapore’s nightscape in the year of 2050. In 2016, I have received full scholarship from Lasalle College of the Arts and was invited to Vietnam to be featured in 2! Magazine. In 2017, I have won the Dr. Winston Oh Travel Award and was sponsored by the college to kick off my self-proposed research in Lhasa, Tibet. My works have been exhibited in London, Kyoto, Singapore, and Taiwan. My works are also collected by the Deputy CEO of Media Corp, Singapore Fashion Director Jeremy Tan, and other private collectors around the world.
