Pop artist Allen Jones (British, b.1937) was born in Southampton, England, and is most well known for his paintings and sculptures. Between 1955 and 1960, he studied at Hornsey College of Art and the Royal College of Art, London, UK. Among his fellow students were David Hockney and R. B. Kitaj. Later, Jones taught at various universities in Berlin and Hamburg. Since 1986, he has been a member of the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
