Giovanna Casimiro

Since 2009 I have been researching Art & Technology focused on interactivity in exhibit places and from 2013 to now my research focused on mixed reality experiences. The main question, now, is to understand what is this mixed experience and how important the physical computing could be in this process. By this way, the biggest reason to apply for this residency is the amazing possibilities to see, create and investigate new ways to reach people and make experiences alive through mixed reality sense. In the last year, I dedicated myself to the Ph.D. research in the School of Architecture and Urbanism in the University of São Paulo, having as my main topic the idea of Open Source Heritage and the capitalization of memory through digital media. More than that, interest me to go deep in the idea of appropriation and capitalization of memory, experimenting with augmented reality and testing digital tools to create interactive dynamics in collective places. I have a passion to be engaged in creative projects and complex challenges. During my academic life, I am being committed to going beyond the limits of my environment, exploring the urban space, the places of human affection and social connections.
